How may
we assist you?

We’re here to help in any way we can. Please take a look at some of the most frequently asked questions we get regarding Visualyst ONE, or contact us using the online form below. You may also click on the “chat with us” button located in the bottom right hand corner anywhere on our website to start a conversation with our product experts.

How do I create an account?

Please visit the Plans page to make a new account. After registering in Visualyst ONE you will be issued a temporary key to your email address and can create a password at first login. Then you have to create or join a workspace.

How do I connect to my own server/storage?

To connect to your personal drive, you just click the button “New Folder” in the application.

When connecting with your AWS S3 storage, you need to read this document and follow the instructions.

How do I upload an asset?

Video files are uploaded into Visulayst ONE in MP4 format. The maximum file size is 10Gb.

You can upload video files one by one or in bulk, by selecting from an available file drive using the “Upload Assets” button under “Assets”, or dragging and dropping them anywhere in the “Assets” list. Upload progress is visible for every file individually. Uploads tend to be quick, but the bigger the file the longer it takes.

Please DO NOT close the tab or refresh the page during file upload. Unfortunately, this will cancel your uploads.

What are credits and why do I need them?

Credits are used to process video files in Visulayst ONE. When you create a policy, you will be able to see how many credits that policy will use to process one minute of video. Each plan has a different fee per credit and each policy can cost from 1 to 4 credits. To analyse videos on the Individual plan you have to buy credits in advance. On the other plans

Your PM will transfer the agreed amount of credits for your trial into your account. You will be able to see each transaction and remaining credits under “Billing.” If you wish to use more credits than those agreed for your trial, please contact your PM or click on the “Add Credits” button to purchase credits using a credit card.

How do I start and manage analyses?

Once a video file is uploaded, it will appear under the “Assets” list with an “Uploaded” status. You can start a new analysis by clicking on the “Analyze” icon  on the line for the respective file. This will bring up a dialogue where you can select the policy you want to use for that analysis. After your choice has been made you will get a dialogue showing you the amount of credits you will spend on the particular analysis.

You can also give your analysis a distinct title to keep track of your work. For example, if you need to scrutinize the same video for different distribution platforms (cable vs broadcast vs streaming) you can run three distinct analyses on the same asset using different policies.

A full list of analyses is available under the “Analyses” tab. This is a simpler way to access analyses performed, as opposed to through “Assets.”

Depending on the length of your video and the complexity of your policy, an analysis may take anywhere from 10-30 minutes to run. A policy running every single model we support may take longer than this. You can see the status of a started analysis in the assets list under “Status.”

How can I collaborate with my colleagues?

If you are a workspace administrator on a Team plan or above, you have additional collaborative options in the “Settings” tab in the left-hand side menu. You will be able to invite others in your organization to create Visualyst ONE accounts in your workspace and collaborate with your reviews. You may want to provide an account to an area manager, a content producer, a member of the legal department, an external content partner, or any other stakeholder in your organization that would normally be involved in compliance reviews or discussions around the same.

On the Team plan and above, as you process a file, you can comment or assign a specific event flag for review by a specific collaborator. They will then receive a notification and can access the file, comment on it, change its compliance status etc…

What should I be aware of when making a new policy?

The first step is to create a digital policy that will be used to scrutinize your video files. Policies are 100% user-defined based on flagging models. These models will automatically search your video files for events and flag them for your visualization and processing.

We recommend you be diligent and give your policies a recognizable name and proper description. This will help other users understand what the policy is intended to do. A good practice is also to write what the policy will NOT flag. That way a reviewer will know there are things that the AI-based model discovery will not flag automatically. You can add flags manually in these cases.

You can change a policy any time you like. Any changes you make will be saved as a new version. It will not affect any analyses that have been done in the past with a previous version. If you need to change a policy and view results based on these changes, you need to rerun analyses on the same video file with the newer version of the policy.

Can I detect other things than the items that are included in the detection list on the Policy page?

All our detection models are or will be published for our users, and are available in the list when creating a new policy. If there are elements you want to detect that are not a part of the list, please contact our Support team and we will see what we can do to train a model covering your needs.

What is the difference between “Live detections” and “ All detections” on the Analyses page?

When selecting “Live detections” the detections from the exact video frame will be visualized, so when streaming the video the detections will change frame by frame. Choosing “All detections” all detections in the video will be listed in the different categories, and you will be able to click on each detection to jump into the exact frame in the video reviewed.

The external display is not in sync with my video inside the tool. What to do?

Navigation either in external display or video should fix the issue if video is out of sync once it is opened.
